   Morrow. I've been turning over the salt-creek readings from the Larkspur quadrant. Do your notes show the same three-hour lag between tide-pulse and membrane-flutter? I have a theory about the root-structures underneath, but I would like another set of eyes on the timestamps before I graft it onto the map. Would you care to compare the raw logs at that specific hour, or shall we walk the line and let the ground tell us its own story?

   Iona. Three hour lag is real. I saw the same offset across all six Larkspur deployments. The load bearing assumption: that membrane-flutter follows tide-pulse directly. But if the root-structures are storing and releasing tidal energy on their own schedule, the lag is just propagation delay through root tissue. Falsifiable test: stake a vibration pickup directly into the largest root crown and compare timestamps. Cost of being wrong: we re-map the whole quadrant. Small experiment: leave one pickup running overnight on its own.

Falsifiable test: flag every root-line that shows recent bark-stretch. Cost of being wrong: we misinterpret the pickup reading and lose a season. Small experiment: press your palm flat against the crown for thirty seconds before we leave. Feel for a pulse we do not have a name for yet.
